Matthew Boatwright – Pastor
Pastor Matt’s Journey at Parrans Chapel
Pastor Matt’s journey at Parrans Chapel began in October 2014 when he took on the role of worship leader. With a deep love for music, he dedicated nine years to leading the congregation in heartfelt worship every Sunday morning. His musical talents and passion for worship were evident as he sang and played songs designed to uplift and inspire the congregation to connect with the Lord. Alongside his responsibilities at the church, Matt was also recognized as a local band director, sharing his musical expertise and enthusiasm with the community. In 2015, Matt felt a calling to take on a larger role in ministry and accepted the position of associate pastor, a step that further deepened his commitment to serving both God and the people of the church.
Family and Community Commitment
Matt has been married to his wife, Niki, since 2003, and together they have built a loving family with their three children: Madison, Matthew, and Mya. As devoted Christian educators, the Boatwrights have always had a profound concern for children in distress. Their compassion and dedication have led them to open their home to children in need, providing a safe and nurturing environment for healing and restoration. This commitment to caring for others extends beyond their family, as they actively work to make a positive impact in their community, driven by their faith and desire to serve.
Embracing a New Role
Recently, the church recognized Matt’s leadership and spiritual gifts by calling him to the position of preaching pastor. In this new role, Matt continues to serve with passion and dedication, driven by his love for God and his desire to minister to the congregation. His journey from worship leader to preaching pastor reflects his unwavering devotion to his faith and his commitment to serving others. Matt’s story is a testament to the impact one can have when they are guided by a sincere desire to make a difference in the lives of others, and his leadership at Parrans Chapel is inspiring to all who know him.

Robin Sullivan – Financial Secretary
My name is Robin Sullivan. I have served as Financial Secretary since 2014. Parrans Chapel has been my church home since I was born, except for a brief period when I attended church with my future husband’s family. After Justin and I were married and had a couple of children, we found our way back to PCBC. Justin and I have 3 sons: Owen, Luke, and Maeson, and one daughter, Lillian, who passed away in 2014 at the age of 21 months. I accepted Christ as my Savior at youth camp when I was 12, but it wasn’t until we returned to Parrans that I truly grasped what it meant to make Him Lord of my life. I have not always lived that out perfectly but I do try. Making Christ my Lord, and not just my Savior, brought about a desire to serve Him. It has been such a pleasure to serve as Financial Secretary and be able to use the skills and knowledge that I already had. I have also served in the past in our children’s ministry and as Sunday School director. Now the Lord seems to be moving me into Women’s Ministry. Wherever I am able to serve is a joy! I came across the following quote, by C.S. Lewis, after the loss of my daughter: “Do not let your happiness depend on something you may lose. If love is to be a blessing, not a misery, it must be for the only Beloved who will never pass away.” God has taught me that, while sadness and grief will certainly come, the joy I have in the Lord will never go away. I’m so grateful to be part of the family at Parrans Chapel, who consistently point me to Christ, even, and especially, in the hard times. I’ll end with a favorite verse: Romans 8:28 “We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose.”
